INTERCHANGE -
Mapping Identity Through Structure
INTERCHANGE is inspired by the visual language of highway interchanges. Observed through years of commuting, these infrastructural systems became a source of both formal and conceptual research. Designed for efficiency and movement, they reveal unexpected patterns of symmetry, connection and transition when viewed from above.
The project translates these structures into sculptural garments and accessories. Through experimental pattern cutting and custom-developed 3D-printed elements, the linear networks of roads are transformed into three-dimensional surfaces that explore movement, connectivity and the constant exchange between people, places and identities.
These couture pieces were exhibited at Europäische Kunstakademie Trier in October 2025.
